PREVIOUS MIRACLE MISSIONS SUNDAY PROJECTS
2024
In 2024 we raised $12,731. All proceeds went to helping Dareth Ly, a missionary to Cambodia. Dareth and Thida Ly are appointed Assemblies of God missionaries, serving in Cambodia. We helped them purchase portable water filters so they can have clean drinking water. The people who Dareth ministers to live on a floating village on a large river. The river is polluted and they don’t have access to clean water. When they drink the water from the river, it makes them very sick. One water filter provides a family with clean water for an entire year! We also helped them purchase new desks and tables for the Promise Kids School and New Dream Center. The Dream Center is a place they built for the children from the floating village to go to to be able to continue their education.
2023
In 2023 we raised about $13,000! All of the proceeds went to Chris and Julia Rabelo's ministry to help the homeless community in Kansas City. Chris and Julia were able to buy 6 different generators for the communities. The generators are so important because they are able to power heaters, lights, stoves, and more. They've also been able to get a lot of helpful items such as flashlights, blankets, tents, tarps, clothes, towels, pillows, chargers, and weekly groceries. Chris and Julia continue to use this compassion ministry to open up doors to minister to and share the gospel with the homeless community of Kansas City.
2022
On our first Miracle Missions Sunday we raised $12,649. We worked with Pastor Louis and Michelle Silva who have a heart for bringing hope to people in Mexico. All of the proceeds went to Bethel Mission Inc. The offering went to putting in a drop ceiling for Bethel Mission Centro/Casa de Rescate Drug Rehab Church, a church plant in Mexico. The church runs 150-200 people every service and during the hottest times of the year, temperatures will reach 112 degrees. The building had a metal roof with little insulation, and due to the heat the church temperatures were running very high. Because of Miracle Missions Sunday, they were able to build the drop ceiling and finish projects around the church. The new ceiling now helps cool the building and helps mini split A/C to be more effective and lower the energy bills.
